Short bio

Soo Young Shin (M’07–SM’17) received his Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from Seoul National University on 2006. He was with WiMAX Design Lab, Samsung Electronics, Suwon, South Korea from 2007 to 2010. He joined as full-time professor to School of Electronics, Kumoh National Institute of Technology, Gumi, South Korea from 2010. He is currently an Associate Professor. He was a post Doc. researcher at University of Washington, USA at 2007. In addition, he was a visiting scholar to University of the British Columbia, Canada at 2017. His research interests include 5G/6G wireless communications & networks, signal processing, Internet of things, mixed reality, drone applications, etc.
